Skiing on the glacier
Travelling through the eternal ice of the Ötztal Alps
The beauty of the Ötztal glaciers can hardly be put into words. The gleaming white of the peaks, clearly visible from the three three-thousand metre peaks in the Sölden ski area, makes for impressive moments high above the valley.
The Sölden ski area impresses with two glacier ski areas and excellent conditions until late spring. On the Rettenbach glacier, you can expect medium-difficulty and challenging pistes, including the legendary World Cup slope. The Tiefenbach glacier, on the other hand, offers more pleasant, easier runs and is ideal for enjoyable skiing.
Both glaciers are connected to each other via a ski tunnel and the glacier ski circuit, allowing for varied days of skiing without interruption. A total of eight modern lifts are available on the glacier - for skiing enjoyment at the highest level in the eternal ice of the Ötztal Alps.
